📋 Effective Date: 9 December 2024 · These terms apply to all services provided by Cobra Locksmith Services Ltd. By booking a service, you agree to these terms.
1. Services Provided
Cobra Locksmith Services Ltd provides professional locksmith and UPVC door/window repair services, including:
- Lock installation, repair and replacement
- Key cutting services
- Safe services
- Security system advice
- UPVC door and window repairs
All services comply with UK safety standards.
2. Quotations & Estimates
- Quotations are estimates based on information provided at the time of booking
- Additional work may incur extra charges, which will be communicated and agreed before any further work proceeds
- Estimated arrival and completion times are approximate
💡 Where a job is more complex than described on the phone (for example, a failed mechanism discovered during a lockout), a revised estimate will be given on site before any additional work is carried out.
3. Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion unless a prior written agreement exists
- All fees are charged based on the services provided and are not calculated by parts and labour separately
- Accepted payment methods: cash, card or BACS
- All parts installed remain the property of Cobra Locksmith Services Ltd until full payment is received
- Deposits may be required for larger works and will be deducted from the final invoice
- Late payments may incur interest as permitted under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
- Disputed invoices must be raised within 7 days; undisputed amounts remain payable
- Refunds will be processed within 14 days unless otherwise agreed
- A receipt or invoice will be provided for all payments
4. Cancellation Policy
- Scheduled services must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance
- Emergency services cancelled after the locksmith is within 15 minutes of your property may incur reasonable charges up to £50
- These terms do not affect your statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
5. Warranty & Guarantee
- All parts supplied and installed are covered by a 12-month guarantee against defects
- Workmanship is guaranteed for 3 months
- Warranty excludes misuse, vandalism, tampering, natural disasters or unauthorised repairs
- Warranty is void if parts are altered or repaired by unauthorised persons
- All warranties are in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Customers must confirm property ownership or authorisation to work on the property
- Safe access and workspace must be provided
- Follow any safety instructions given by the locksmith
- Maintain locks, doors and windows according to manufacturer guidance
- Failure to comply may void warranties or incur additional charges
7. Emergency Services
- Emergency services may be classified as Critical, Urgent or Standard based on the nature of the callout
- Services provided outside standard hours (Mon–Fri 9am–5pm), on weekends, and on public holidays may incur out-of-hours rates
- Out-of-hours rates: +£10–£30 for evening (5pm–10pm); +£40–£60 for night (10pm–8am)
- All rates are stated before attendance
8. Parts, Materials & Supply Chain
- All parts remain the property of Cobra Locksmith Services Ltd until full payment is received
- Substituted parts of equivalent quality may be used if originals are unavailable
- Delays caused by suppliers are not the responsibility of Cobra Locksmith Services Ltd
9. Liability
- Cobra Locksmith Services Ltd does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud
- For all other loss or damage, liability is limited to the cost of the service provided
- We are not liable for consequential losses, pre-existing damage, or malfunctions caused by misuse, tampering or unauthorised repair
10. Data Protection & GDPR
Personal data is used only for service delivery, invoicing and warranty claims. Data is not shared with third parties except as legally required. Customers may request access, correction or deletion under UK GDPR. See our full Privacy Policy.
11. Force Majeure
Cobra Locksmith Services Ltd is not liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including extreme weather, strikes, government restrictions or utility interruptions.
12. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
- Disputes should first be addressed through direct negotiation
- Unresolved disputes may go to mediation or arbitration through a UK-approved ADR body
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales
